Arsenal are still looking to turn around their fortunes this season by further improving their squad and they have now turned their sights towards Inter Milan midfielder, Ivan Perisic who has been on the wishlist of Premier League rivals, Chelsea and Manchester United for a long time now. This move, however, might see Arsenal’s top-earning player, Mesut Ozil move the other way.
According to Caught Offside, Inter Milan have valued the player at €40 million, a price tag which Arsenal cannot meet at the moment and would rather sacrifice Ozil in a bid to bring the Inter Milan attacker to the Emirates Stadium.
Ozil has not been at his best form this season and has fallen down the pecking order drastically since Unai Emery took charge of the team last summer.
Emery is reported to be keen on adding Perisic to his team, as he aims to find a player who can lay on assists for his two strikers, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang & Alexandre Lacazette. The World Cup 2018 finalist has also been known for his competitive streak and killer instinct, a trait which has been missing from the Arsenal team in recent years.
