Chelsea Completed Multiple Transfer Ahead of Deadline
Chelsea have completed the signing of Atletico Bilbao’s goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga in a record transfer fee of £72m while Courtois joins Real Madrid in a deal that bring Kovacic to Stamford Bridge on loan. Chelsea were able to complete all these deals in the space of hours following series of speculations.
Courtois refused to team up with the Chelsea squad even after his holiday was over, while trying to force a move to Real Madrid. Sarri, obviously didn’t want to keep an unhappy player in the squad, hence asked that he is sold to Real Madrid. Kepa who has just one national cap with Spain reportedly signed for seven years following a record breaking transfer move.
The not too good in the business Chelsea just concluded is the fact that there is no permanent buy clause in Kovacic loan deal which means he could still return to Real Madrid even if he impresses at Chelsea. However, Chelsea could pull similar deal as Bayern did for James Rodriguez as Real Madrid has a number of players in his position.
Chelsea are also hoping they complete the signing of Lyon’s attacker, Fekir whom reports claimed a certain fee has been agreed between the two club, all that is left is personal agreement with the player. Should this transfer go through, Chelsea may be an early favourite for the Premier League title.
