Cristiano Ronaldo Leaving Real Madrid More tgan Just New Challenge
Speculations surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo’s future at Real Madrid suggest the 9 years romance may come to an end this summer. Ronaldo is subject of a rumoured transfer to Juventus with fees reportedly agreed. If Ronaldo complete the switch, it will become the most talk about transfer this summer.
This is not the first time Ronaldo is being linked away from the Berbabeu but looks like a deal is likely to be completed this time around. Ronaldo is undoubtedly the most influential player ever graced the Santiago Bernebeu and having achieved all possible trophies and accolades, there seem a possibility of trying out a different challenge, perhaps in a different league. Although, some reports have it that he holds out for an approach from his former club, Manchester United but there seem to be no interest from Mourinho at the moment.
Despite Ronaldo’s achievement at Real Madrid, he seem not to be accorded the desired respect from management and fans. There have been reports linking Neymar to Real Madrid as a possible replacement for ageing Ronaldo who seem to still want to carry on with the club.
Aside that, there are countless times he has been subjected to abuse and boos by his own fans, some even go all the way to taunt him with Messi chants. The treatment from the fans and management seem too much for the Portuguese to bear but didn’t stop him from leading them to consecutive title glories
Undoubtedly, Ronaldo has so much love and respect for Real Madrid, a club he so much craved from his early days at Sporting Lisbon. His love and desire to achieve greatness at the club spurred him and lifted the club over the last decade
With reports emerging that Real Madrid had to drastically reduce Ronaldo’s release clause from a stunning €1b to a quoted €120m, he feels that is a clear sign he is no longer wanted at the club.
Ronaldo may want another challenge but not as quick as it seems happening right now
