La Liga Update! Real Madrid Over-Reliance on Cristiano Ronaldo Now Exposed
Ronaldo and his Real Madrid compatriots are enduring a difficult time in La Liga at the moment after losing 1-0 to Villareal at Santiago Bernabeu over the weekend. Real Madrid now stand fourth on the table, 21 points behind leader Barcelona who came from 2 goal down to beat Real Sociedad 4-2 over the weekend. Real Madrid’s over-reliance on Cristiano Ronaldo who has only managed four La Liga goals in the current campaign is now telling on them.
It is now obvious that Real Madrid’s recent successes in the La Liga and Champions League was as a result of Ronaldo’s ability to bang in loads of goals. Real Madrid seem to be doing better in Champions League this seasone simply because the the Portuguese is breaking goal scoring records in the competition. His dismal display in the league is having a serious effect on their campaign.
Real Madrid cannot forever rely on Cristiano Ronaldo’s goals and there is an urgent need to bring in another goal scorer. Benzema (3 league goals) and Bale (4 league goals) are not as reliable as Suarez is doing for Barcelona hence the reason why they are not competing this season. It is clear that the only sign that shows Real Madrid are performing is if Cristiano Ronaldo is scoring lots of goals.
Real Madrrid may want to try their luck for Liverpool’s latest hero, Mohammed Salah. The Egyptian already has 17 Premier League goals to his credit this season and has got a lot to offer if Real could snap him up. The over-reliance in Ronaldo will do Real Madrid no good
