Chelsea are taking a huge step to beef up their financial strategy by proposing a new deal for Eden Hazard and Courtouis very soon. Hazard who was instrumental to Chelsea winning the Premier League last season but have had a slow start due to injury at the begining of this season is a major target by Real Madrid. Chelsea understands that tying up both players to a long term contract will be beneficial to them in the long run.
The Belgium captain is already Chelsea’s highest paid player with a £200,000-per-week contract, but his new deal could take him to earn as much £300,000-per-week plus bonuses.
Although, tying up Hazard to a long term is a priority but they are mindful of the fact that Courtouis has only 21 months left on his contract and they may want to consider going into discussion with the Belgian goalkeeper when they start with Hazard.
Courtois is currently on £120,000-per-week but he wants increase his earnings to £200,000-per-week, in keeping with his status as one of the world’s best in his position.
