Liverpool Held at Westham Leaving Title Race Open as Man City Closes Gap
The Premier league title race between Liverpool and Man City isn’t over yet as Westham held the Kops to 1-1 draw leaving them just three points above Man City on the table.
It looked like Liverpool were on course to restore their 5 point lead after Mane converted a controversial Milner’s cross which could have been ruled offside but mistakenly adjudged by the assistant referee to be onside in the 22nd minute. But, six minute later, Westham responded after Antonio equalized from a shot from a close range resulting from a deadly set-piece.
Westham continued to threaten Liverpool from set piece and aside that, it was a heavily contested match full of controversies and referee errors as the match ended 1-1.
Liverpool were touted as Champions elect following their 7 point lead ahead of Man City some weeks back, but this could change in coming weeks as City resilience and never say die attitude has pushed Liverpool to the limit such that they dropped vital four points fro their last two games
