There has been so much debate about who the best striker is between the Belgian and the Spanish ever since their controversial move to Manchester United and Chelsea respectively. The story was made more interesting during the summer transfer market as it looked like both clubs had to switch from their prime target. Lukaku was reportedly a primary target for Chelsea while Manchester United were also close to sealing a deal for Morata before negotiation deadlock led to change of mind.
So far, its been a good journey for both players, having shown in their goal scoring form for their respective clubs. Although, Morata had a shaky start to life at Chelsea but had since adjusted well to life, scoring six Premier league goals already, while Lukaku has also shown a great level of consistency scoring in 10 out of 11 games he had featured in United shirt so far.
At this stage, it may be too early to state who the better is but one thing is sure, both clubs have spent well considering today’s market values of players. Both fans have not sounded any regret as early signs show there are better things to come
