Manchester City and PSG are the two most discussed attacking team in Europe so far this season. Both have spent well in the summer and it can be seen in series of good results coming from a consistent attacking style of play. The good thing is their form is not limited to just their domestic league, they are doing awesomely well in Europe as well.
Unlike Mourinho, Guardiola is not afraid to unleash his attacking trio in each and every game even though they haven’t splashed to sign an attacking player who is as costly as Lukaku. They have put their trust in playing 3 upfront Sane-Jesus/Aguero-Sterling. While PSG have continued to terrorize their opponents with the unleashing of Neymar-Cavani-Mbappe.

Stats Man City PSG
League Game/Goals 12 Games/40 Goals 13 Games /43 Goals
UCL Game/Goals 4 Games/ 12 Goals 4 Games/17 Goals
Goals from Attacking (League) 29 League Goals 29 League Goals
Goals from Attacking (UCL) 11 UCL Goals 7 UCL Goals

The stats showed contribution made by both teams set of attacking players in both domestic and champions league. PSG has three major attacking players (Neymar, Cavanni and Mbappe) while Di Maria comes in as a substitute player at most time. On the other hand, Man City have got Leroy Sane, Aguero/Jesus and Raheem Sterling, depending on Guardiola’s choice for a particular match, but these players have dominated the attacking option for City this season.
From the stats, it can be seen the while both attack have contributed same goals to the club’s domestic campaign (29), PSG’s attack has been the most potent in the Champions League.
At this stage, it is too early to say which attack is best, the achievement come the end of the season will speak for itself. For many, they may want to argue that the Premier League is more competitive than Ligue 1, it is not enough for any team to underrate PSG’s attack when they meet in the Champions League
