Man United’s Martial More Important When he Comes Off the Bench
Antonio Martial was the hero for Manchester United as he came off the bench to steal an important victory against Tottenham at Old Trafford. In a match where United created most chances even though Tottenham had the most possession, it looked like it was going to end stalemate till Martial scored a brilliant goal to seal a 1-0 victory for United. Lukaku had earlier been denied after his header hit the woodwork before setting up Martial for the goal.
After a disappointing that saw Mourinho Martial hauled off at the half time against Huddersfield last week, the manager decided to start Rashford against Tottenham. Martial had a disappointing outing when he started the game against Huddersfield and it was no surprise he didn’t the starting line up today. He has made more impact from the bench this season, scoring 4 goals in 6 matches he started from the bench while all his 3 starts had yielded no goal.
