Morata Outshone Lukaku in Stamford Bridge Tussle

Alvaro Morata was the difference as Chelsea beat Manchester United 1-0 at Stamford Bridge in the English Premier League on Sunday evening. Chelsea dominated most part of the game and were vindicated when Alvaro Morata rose to head home a powered cross by Aczpillicueta ten minutes into the second half. Morata and Lukaku had before the game failed to score a goal in the past six matches and while Morata broke the duck in today’s match, Lukaku’s barren run continues.
Lukaku had a shot parried by Courtouis early in the first half and Man United only caused Chelsea problems when Fellaini came on in the second half. Man United could have equalized late in the econd half but Courtouis kept Chelsea in the control with a fine save denying Fellaini a golden opportunity.
The result means Man City are now eight points clear at the top of the Premier League table with Man United and Tottenham occupying the second and third position respectively on same points. Chelsea stays in fourth position with just a point behind Man United and Tottenham
