Selection Dilemma for Conte Ahead of Roma Clash
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte may be facing a selection dilemma following the return of injured Kante. The 26-year-old hasn’t played since suffering a hamstring injury in France’s 1-0 win in Bulgaria on 7 October, coinciding with an initial dip in the Premier League champions’ results. Kante has returned to training and should be available for selection for the Champions League encounter against Roma tonight.
Danny Drinkwater, a summer recruit from Leicester had his first go at Chelsea first team in the Carabao Cup and was impressive. Kante, although not fully fit, is expected to decide whether he is able to play against Roma tonight, else Conte may consider pushing Drinkwater alongside Bakayoko in the midfield. The manager may as well be considering a start fo Fabregas who hasn’t had much games under Conte.
