Southampton Declares Interest In Arsenal’s Theo Walcott.

Having cashed in on their top defender, Southampton are actively moving to use part of money made from that deal to lure Walcott away from Arsenal.
Following enquiries to Arsenal on availability,  Southampton have confirmed that they are looking to acquire the Arsenal wingman either on loan or a permanent transfer and hope that Walcott wants to move .
Southampton are ready to meet Walcott’s £140,000-a-week wages but face competition as Everton and West Ham are also keen.
In reaction to the news, Southampton boss, Mauricio Pellegrino had this to say: “Obviously, we don’t have this money to go to the market to bring the best players in the world, but we have got our targets that we want to bring in with this money.
“We were (the board) talking about the couple of targets that we got. I would like to bring a couple of players minimum and we have to work for this.”
Walcott, 28,  now finds himself struggling for game time as he wants to play. Arsenal however, may delay the possibility of this move as they are occupied with a growing fixture list and injuries such as Olivier Giroud who may be out for up to six weeks.
