The Reds were 3-0 up inside half an hour after almost identical goals from corners for Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane and another from the Brazilian at the end of a rapid break.

Sevilla then scored twice through Wissam Ben Yedder soon after the break to threaten a miraculous turnaround.

Liverpool regrouped and looked to be heading for the win that would put them into the knockout rounds, but Pizarro netted with minutes remaining in the scramble from a corner to earn Sevilla an unlikely point.

Cristiano Ronaldo breaks HIS OWN Champions League record in Real Madrid win

Elsewhere, Cristiano Ronaldo bagged a double as Real Madrid crushed APOEL 6-0 in Champions League on Tuesday night.

Incredibly, the goals were Ronaldo’s 17th and 18th in the Champions League in this calendar year and he’s the first player to ever hit 17 in one year. Ronaldo held the previous best for the 16 goals he notched in 2015 but he’s broken that record to create another piece of history in his illustrious career.
